Apricot Anderson Irving

News

I love Oregon Literary Arts: for bringing writers like Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Tracy Kidder and Abraham Verghese to Portland. And for (thank you, thank you) my 2012 Literary Nonfiction Fellowship.

Ten thousand thanks to the sassy, unstoppable Rona Jaffe and the generous foundation she established to support women writers. After hearing them read at NYU, I’m smitten with the the other five formidable women who also received a 2011 Rona Jaffe Foundation Writer’s Award.

An interview with Apricot Irving about the Boise Voices project on The Speakeasy. Also featured: the Decemberists and Carrie Brownstein of Portlandia. Delightful company.
