Please join us in welcoming Apricot Irving presenting her debut memoir The Gospel of Trees. As the daughter of missionary parents, Apricot moved to Haiti at the age of six where her father undertook a mission to plant trees in a country which had undergone severe deforestation. Her family spent much of the next decade striving to improve the living conditions of people experiencing social upheaval and drought. This is a beautiful memoir about a family altered by its own ambitious philanthropy who ultimately find hope in their faith and love for each other, and for Haiti.
